Murder Case of PS Mehrauli Involving Shoot Out Incident Solved

With the arrest of the following persons namely:

1. Neeraj@ Ghitru, aged 31 years s/o Lt. Bhagwan Singh r/o H.No. F-190, Lado Sarai, New Delhi; ( Property dealer and involved in 4 criminal cases)

2. Arvind Kumar Gupta @ Desilva, aged 30 years s/o Jagdish Swaroop Gupta r/o TA – 70, Gali No. 4 , Tughlakabad Extn., Govind Puri, New Dehi; ( Property dealer and criminal involved in 5 cases)

3. Karanjit @ Kannu, aged 22 years s/o Ratnesh Singh r/o F-342 Lado Sarai, New Delhi; ( Property dealer)

4. Ravinder Pawar @ Rabbu, aged 24 years s/o Rajender Kumar r/o 10/259, Dakshinpuri, New Delhi; ( Vehicle washing);

5. Kamal @ Hadda, aged 30 years s/o Veerpal r/o 3/72, Dakshin Puri, Delhi; (Presswala);

6. Jagmohan Sagar @ Bhaiya, aged 30 years s/o Rattan Kumar r/o B-I/677, Madangir, Delhi; ( garment shop/Khoka)

7. Dhrup @ Gaurav, 28 years s/o Munna Lal Gupta r/o 10/261, Dakshinpuri, Delhi (Auto Driver involved in two snatching cases)

8. Kartik, aged 30 years s/o Nagraj r/o H-I/354, Madangir ( Property dealer and involved in 5 cases). 

The South district police has solved the shoot out incident reported on 9.3.15 at Lado Sarai T Point Mehrauli in which one person Surender @ Sonu died and one Sandeep got serious gunshot injuries.  Eight assailants have been arrested and two luxury vehicles used in the commission of crime along with a pistol used in crime have so far been recovered. Further investigation is in progress, one Rohit is still at large and Teams are working to apprehend him. 

                   On 9.3.2015, at around 1.45 PM a PCR Call was received at P.S. Mehrauli regarding shoot out at Lado Sarai ‘T’ Point Mehrauli, New Delhi.  On reaching the spot, it was found that two injured persons were taken to Hospital.  An eye witness namely Sanjay S/o Late Sh. Amarjeet Singh R/o H.No. C-51/A, Rajpur Extension, New Delhi stated that he along with his friends namely Ashok, Narendar @ Kittu, Sandeep and Sonu was sitting on a road side tea stall near Lado Sarai ‘T’ Point.  At about 11 AM, three persons had come in a white Tata Safari and had some heated arguments with Narandar @ Kittu and thereafter they left.  Again around 1.30 PM, few persons including one Neeraj R/o Lado Sarai, New Delhi went there in two vehicles (One Tata Safari HR-26-BE-0927 and one Skoda No. DL-2F-9999) and a few of them got down and started firing at  Sanjay, Ashok, Narendar, Sandeep and Sonu.  In the firing incident, Surender @ Sonu and Sandeep received gunshot injuries and were shifted to Hospital.  Surender @ Sonu, Age 30 Years S/o Sh. Ran Singh R/o F-102/A, Lado Sarai, New Delhi was shifted to JPNA Trauma Centre, AIIMS, New Delhi, where he was succumbed to his gun shot injuries.   Sandeep, age 32 Years S/o Om Parkash R/o F-712 Lado Sarai, New Delhi was shifted to Max Hospital, Saket, New Delhi where he was operated upon and is still under treatment.   A case FIR No. 689/15 dated 9.3.2015 U/s 302/307/34 IPC & 25/27/54/59 Arms Act has been registered at P.S. Mehrauli, New Delhi.  The crime team, FSL team also visited the spot and collected empty cartridges scattered over the area of incident. 

                   Further enquiry had revealed that the assailants and the victims were known to each other and had long pending money dispute between them.  The identity of the main assailant was established in initial investigation as Neeraj S/o Ram Kishan R/o F-279, Lado Sarai, New Delhi.  He is previously involved in four cases.

                   Several police teams were formed and dispatched to all possible hide outs of the assailants.  The specialized Units of the Districts i.e. STF, Special Staff and AATS and teams of SHO Mehrauli, Neb Sarai and other SHOs of South District under the close supervision of ACP Mehrauli,  and Shri Pramod Kushwah, Addl DCP, South District were specially asked to develop intelligence in NCR and adjoining States where the criminals of this case had taken shelter.  The team visited various areas in Himachal, Punjab, UP including Aligarh, Kanpur, Allahabad, Varanasi, Hardwar, Shimla, Ajmer etc. and interrogated several persons who were related to these criminals.  The teams also raided various hideouts in Delhi and questioned around 50 suspected persons who divulged important information about the criminals who took part in the crime, vehicles and weapons used in the crime and established motive of the crime.  A joint team of STF and Mehrauli raided a premise in Aligarh where criminals had taken shelter for a day.  The other joint team of STF, PS Mehrauli and Neb Sarai raided several hide outs in Varanasi, Allahabad, Kanpur and arrested the main criminal Neeraj and picked up several other persons including Kartik for questioning. A joint team of Special Staff and Mehrauli conducted raid in Madangir and picked up Desilva from Madangir area.  The team of Mehrauli and STF picked up four persons namely (1) Dhrup Gupta @ Gaurav, (2) Ravinder @ Rabbu, (3) Jagmohan @ Bhaiya and (4) Kamal @ Hadda and arrested all of them today morning.  Karan @ Kannu, who had given tip to the gang regarding spot position of the victim before incident, has also been arrested.

          Both the vehicles i.e. Safari and Skoda used by the members of the gang at the time of incident have also been recovered at the instance of Neeraj and Desilva respectively. A .32 bore pistol, 8 rounds and one magazine used in the crime, has also been recovered from Neeraj at the time of his arrest in Kanpur early morning today.  

During interrogation of accused persons, it has been revealed that Neeraj r/o Lado Sarai had monetary dispute with Narender.  In order to settle this dispute permanently, around 11 AM on 09.03.2015  he alongwith two three other persons  reached a Dhaba near Lado Saria Tea Point where Narender, Ashok, Sandeep and  Sonu met him.   Narender threatened Neeraj of dire consequences if he did not return his money.  Neeraj called his other associates to take revenge of threat given by Narender and they all gathered near Lado Sarai park and arranged weapons and vehicles.  At about 01.30 PM on 09.03.2015, they all in four vehicles i.e. TATA Safari, Skoda and two motor cycles reached the spot after confirming their location at the said Dhaba through one Karan Jeet @ Kannu.  Neeraj alongwith other associates sat in TATA Safari whereas Rohit and other associates sat in Skoda Car alongwith De Silva and other assailants reached the spot on two motor cycles.  Neeraj and Rohit opened fire at the opponent group who had threatened him earlier in the day and they all escaped from the spot.
