High Court’s stay of the Delhi Government’s nursery guidelines reflects
failure of its legally untenable and adhoc approach to nursery admissions and school management : VIJENDER GUPTA
The High Court’s stay today of the Delhi Government’s nursery admission guidelines reflects failure of its legally untenable and adhoc approach to nursery admissions and school management, said Leader of Opposition Vijender Gupta. He said that the Government’s last minute notification of guidelines to nursery admissions put parents and school management alike to utter frustration, inconvenience and confusion. They had no option but to knock at the doors of the High Court for justice. Delhi Government owe them apology now.
The Government’s lack of earnestness and focus on nursery admissions found its reflection in its coming out with a confusing notification on 7th January derailing the entire process of admission. The last minute half cooked notification on the part of the Government, said Vijender Gupta, is unpardonable.
The least the Government can now do is to come out with a legally tenable policy which takes into account the genuine grievances of both parents and school management.
