Special Drive/Operation “Milap” Launched By Crime Branch
Launching a special drive to link missing children with the
parents, Anti Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) Crime Branch has succeeded in
restoring two children staying in a Children Home to the respective families.
This special drive has been launched to check all the Children Homes in Delhi
for matching their records with the available data of missing/kidnapped
children and has been named as operation “Milap”. Several teams have been
constituted in Crime Branch for linking such children staying in the Children
Homes.
During this special drive, Crime Branch officials will check
each and every child in the Children Homes and make all out efforts to get any
clue about their parents/home so that they can be restored properly. Also,
local police is being asked to screen and document all the children residing in
the shelter homes, railway platforms, bus stands, roads, religious places, etc.
Their photographs will be taken by the concerned police officials and
documentation will be undertaken to link them properly.
On 16.12.14, a team consisting of Inspr. Vipin Kumar, ASI
Ravinder Singh, HCs Balwinder Singh and Dinesh Kumar under supervision of ACP
Rajeev Kumar Ambasta and guidance & overall supervision of DCP Dinesh Kumar
Gupta checked “Bal Adhikar Sashaktikaran Kendra” Children Home at Prahlad Pur
Bangar, Delhi. The team checked the record of children and also examined the
children in depth.
During
such conversation, the child aged 13 years appeared nervous and on sustained
compassionate persuasion, he revealed his mother’s name and her mobile phone
number. On contacting, she identified her son on the basis of description and
reached AHTU office from Bhiwadi, Rajasthan alongwith her brother. They were
taken to Children Home where they identified the boy as her son. On further
enquiry, it was revealed that a case FIR No. 283/14, u/s 365 IPC stands
registered at P.S. Bhiwadi Phase III, Rajasthan in this regard. His mother
stated that the child was rebuked by his maternal aunt (Mami) on the issue of
studies on 31.08.14 and he left home thereafter. The child did not want to
study and was more into sports & games. He is a student of VI standard. The
child revealed that he had reached Gurgaon by Bus and thereafter at ISBT,
Kashmiri Gate, Delhi. The child had been deposited in the Children Home on
8.12.2014.
Another
child aged 10 years, staying in Bal Adhikar Sashaktikaran Kendra, was also
reluctant to talk and was trying to hide himself. He was taken into confidence
by the police team following which he revealed the name of his father and his
residential colony as Partap Nagar, Delhi. On the basis of this information,
the team immediately rushed to the locality and traced his father at the Harsh
Vihar, Delhi address. It was also confirmed at a case vide FIR No. 595/14, u/s
363 IPC, was registered at P.S. Harsh Vihar, Delhi in this regard. The father
of the child stated that on 12.11.14, his son Kaif had gone out to play but he
never returned. The child was deposited in the Children Home on 12.11.14. The
child has disclosed that he left home as he wanted to see the Red Fort. He is
studying in a Madarsa at Wazirabad.
