KEJRIWAL HAS SHAMED DEMOCRACY BY CREATING CONTROVERSY OVER RAJYA SABHA NOMINATIONS

The controversy arising out of nomination for Rajya Sabha by Aam Aadmi Party has offended the people of Delhi and they want to know the reality behind this controversy, why questions are being raised about money deal?

According to information under RTI the decrease in the number of beds in Super Specialty Hospitals and the proposal of the Government to allow treatment in private hospitals shows that Government has failed to improve health services and now serious questions are being raised over nomination of a person managing a private hospital


New Delhi, 5 th Jan. Delhi BJP President Shri Manoj Tiwari has in a press conference today said that the claims of achievements by the Arvind Kejriwal Government are being exposed in every sphere of public life. The decreasing number of beds in Hospitals of Delhi and now this nomination of an administrator of private hospital for Rajya Sabha when put in perspective exposes the claims of Kejriwal Government of strengthening Government hospitals.

Shri Tiwari said that before coming to power in 2015 and thereafter Arvind Kejriwal had promised of providing best education and health services besides supplying free water and power at half of the prevailing rates. O extent ALSO Made Big Promises for providing protection were homeless people.

Delhi BJP President said during the Kejriwal Government 's tenure the health services in Government hospitals has totally collapsed and the situation is so grave that number of beds available to the patients in the best referral hospitals of Delhi ie GB Pant Hospital have also decreased.

According to information obtained through RTI, now only 735 beds are available to the patients instead of sanctioned 758 beds in GB Pant Hospital. Simillerly, in Janakpuri Super Specialty Hospital only 100 beds are available for the patients in place of 250 beds. The Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital Management has refused to give information about the availability of beds.

He also said that after the information under RTI is on the decline in the numbers of the beds available for the patients in the most reputed Government hospitals ie GB Pant and the proposal of the Government to allow treatment in private hospitals shows that Kejriwal Government has failed then Improve the Health Services. The proposal to allow treatment in private hospitals by Kejriwal Government not only creates doubt about the intentions of Government to improve the health services in Government hospitals but it also raises serious questions against the Government after the recent nomination of an administrator of a private hospital for the Rajya Sabha membership.

We do not object to a hospital administrator'S appointment, what concerns us is that the Government is failing its own hospitals and on other hand talks of giving free treatment in private hospital. When the nomination of a hospital administrator is correlated to these circumstances, it creates doubt.

Kejriwal Government uses the issue of the homeless people as a political tool and emotionally exploits it but in reality does anything. Shri Tiwari said that some days ago I had myself went out to see the condition of the homeless people around midnight and extended help them on personal basis. I was shocked to see that lakhs of homeless people are compelled to sleep on the streets of Delhi. According to the media reports about 200 people have lost their lives due to cold conditions in Delhi this year. It is estimated that about 1 to 2 lakh homeless people live in Delhi but Delhi Government is not able to provide cover to even 25000 people in all its night shelters put together.

Expressing his regret over the controversy surrounding nomination for Rajya Sabha in Delhi, Shri Tiwari said that nominations are made for Rajya Sabha from various states, even small party nominees get nominated to Parliament but the way in which people are today talking about the money deal from the streets were parliament and in media debates, has surprised us and shamed our democracy .

A team of Special Cell led by Inspectors Rahul Sawhney and Sanjay Kumar has arrested a cheat who impersonated as an IPS officer to cheat several persons in Delhi.
