Glowing
tributes were paid to freedom fighter and first Deputy Mayor of Delhi
Sh. Ram Charan Aggarwal. North Delhi Mayor Mr. Yogender Chandolia ,
Leader of Opposition of North Delhi Municipal Corporation Mr. Mukesh
Goel; son of Ram Charan Aggarwal and former MP Mr. Jai Prakash Aggarwal;
and Chairman of City Zone Ward Committee Mr. Ramesh Dutta on the
occasion of his 37th death anniversary. They garlanded the statue of Mr. Ram Charan Agagrwal’s statue at Bahadur Shah Jafar Marg.
Area
councillors Mr. Taj Mohammed, Ms. Aman Tyagi, Ms. Tilotma Chaudhary,
Ms. Guddi Devi, Ms. Rinku and many other leaders were also present on
this occasion who paid glowing tributes to Sh. Ram Charan Agagrwal.
Mr Mukesh Goel said that
Sh. Ram Charan Aggarwal was a great leader. He went to jail several
times in the freedom struggle. Mr. Goel said that Ram Charan Agagrwal
represented true culture of Delhi as he belonged to the walled city.

उत्तरी दिल्ली के महापौर श्री योगेन्द्र चांदोलिया ने आज दिल्ली के प्रथम उपमहापौर स्व. श्री लाला रामचरण अग्रवाल की पुण्यतिथि के अवसर पर आईटीओ चैक स्थित उनकी प्रतिमा पर माल्यार्पण कर उन्हें दिल्ली की ओर से श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित की। इस अवसर पर पूर्व सांसद एवं स्व0 श्री राम चरण अग्रवाल के सुपुत्र श्री जय प्रकाश अग्रवाल, उत्तरी दिल्ली नगर निगम में प्रतिपक्ष के नेता, श्री मुकेश गोयल, ताज मोहम्मद (निगम पार्षद), अरूणेश शर्मा, राजेश शर्मा, श्रीमती अमन त्यागी (निगम पार्षद), श्रीमती तिलोतमा चैधरी (निगम पार्षद ), श्रीमती गुड्डी देवी (निगम पार्षद ), कु॰ रिंकू (निगम पार्षद ), पूर्व उपमहापौर-दिल्ली, श्री रमेश दत्ता व काफी संख्या में विधायक एवं तीनों निगमों के निगम पार्षद भी उपस्थित थे।
श्री राम चरण अग्रवाल महात्मा गांधी, पंडित जवाहरलाल नेहरू, लाल बहादुर शास्त्री जैसे महान् देश भक्तों का मार्गानुसरण करते हुए स्वाधीनता संग्राम में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाने के कारण कई बार जेल गये। उनका समस्त जीवन लोक कल्याण के कार्यों के प्रति समर्पित रहा है।
